By 28 I was fluent in 5 languages and managed to start a beach baseball league in Brazil, teach English to Tibetan monks, own a restaurant in India, lead a windsurfing school in Aruba and name various pan-european products for Unilever at JWT Milan.
STRATEGIST: At 29, Jonathan Daly (my JWT mentor) brought me to NY to be part of FCB's first planning department. We worked globally on Compaq, which a couple of years later caught the attention of George Gallate and Don Hogle, who hired me to roam the world and document human behaviour as global planning director on Intel at Euro RSCG. After 4 years and the successful launch of Centrino I was recruited by Ogilvy as partner, senior planning director on American Express, where I had the chance to work with outstanding professionals like Diego Scotti and David Apicella.
In 2006 I met Adam Stagliano who brought me to TBWA/BAI to head the Americas strategy on the Pernod Ricard business. There I worked on Chivas Regal brand architecture and global campaign with Marie Catherine Dupuy and worldwide CMO Martin Reily. Other contributions include helping make Jameson the fastest growing spirit in the US and Seagram's Gin one of BrandWeek's 2007 PowerBrands.
My work for Puma helped Droga5 win 2010 Gold at Cannes, and my taste for new business contributed to winning numerous international pitches (including Samsung, Cadillac, Baileys, Microsoft Office)
In 2010 I launched The East Manhattan Advertising Company, a small agency with operations in Brazil, Argentina and the US and based on the premise that as animals, human beings are primarily driven by instinct. (we'll have a fancier site as soon as we can take a break from current client assignments)My other passions include Nature, People, History, Sports and Brazil.
